Where does my data come from? How to get the most out of autofill

The intended audience for this article is Agents.

Autofill helps you move faster by reusing existing data across forms. If a field mapping exists between Wunderite data and a corresponding form question, the answer will populate automatically. The more complete your Risk Profile is, the more data Wunderite can autofill for you on forms.

Where Autofill pulls data from

Autofill looks at multiple data sources. Autofill can pull from:

  • Risk Profile (Account)

    • Account Overview

    • Risk Data schedules, such as vehicles, drivers, and locations

    • Third-party data such as VIN and Property lookups

    • Class Codes (e.g. Workers Compensation)

  • Your Wunderite and agency account

    • Name, phone number, title, NPN, and similar details

  • Other completed forms

    • Data reused through cross-form mapping within the same Risk Profile

Fields that don't map to any forms

Some data that lives outside of Risk Profiles don’t always autofill because the system can’t reliably tell which person (agent, primary agent, current user, etc.) the form expects. As a workaround, enter the date on any form and it will autofill to related fields on other forms.

  • Account > Licenses & National Producer Number (NPN)

  • Policy data (if Policies feature is turned on for your agency)

  • Submission names and dates

  • Collaborators don't autofill, but Contacts do

For a full list of all Wunderite mapped and unmapped fields, check out our mapping table. We continuously improve our autofill and cross-form mapping data set.

Conflicts and refresh behavior

Autofill uses the most up-to-date information available. If the same field exists in more than one place, Wunderite pulls from the most recently updated source. This applies across ACORDs, supplementals, and other forms. There are two scenarios you might encounter with ACORDs:

First-time autofill

When you add an ACORD and autofill it for the first time using Risk Data or the Forms Library, Wunderite pulls the most recently updated values from the Risk Profile, schedules, completed forms, and other mapped sources.

During this initial autofill, Wunderite does not overwrite any existing form answers, including responses from Form Templates. It only adds missing information to the form.

Refreshing autofill

When you click Refresh Autofill on an existing ACORD, Wunderite pulls from Risk Data schedules for fields that conflict. We assume you’re refreshing because you just updated structured Risk Data. In those cases, the schedule values replace older values on the form.

If there’s no conflict, existing data stays in place. We don’t delete non-conflicting answers, and we don’t clear checkboxes that were previously selected.

Autofill coverage indicators in the forms library

When you add forms from the Forms Library, you’ll now see autofill coverage indicators. These indicators help you understand how well a form supports autofill before you add it to a Risk Profile. This helps you choose forms that work best with autofill and makes it easier to diagnose autofill issues with support.

  • Minimum autofill answers
The minimum number of answers that can be autofilled when viewing forms from a Risk Profile.

  • Mapping coverage level
How much of the form Wunderite has mapped. Shown as high, medium, or low.

  • Last mapped date
When the form was most recently mapped.

If you have questions about a specific form, include these indicators when you reach out. It helps us troubleshoot faster and keep mappings up to date.

Not seeing as much autofill as you expected?

Start by watching the video below. It walks through common ways to increase autofill coverage and shows how data flows between Risk Profiles and forms.

If you still are not seeing strong results after watching the video, reach out to our team with:

  • The Risk Profile name

  • The form name

We will review the form’s mappings and update them if needed.

Our goal is to help you enter data once and reuse it everywhere it makes sense.
