The intended audience for this article is Agents. This article covers the risk data import workflow for the new spreadsheet interface.
Locating and Downloading Import Sample Files
In the top menu of any of the Risk Data sections, click on the vertical ellipsis icon and select the [Risk Data Type] Template
button.
This file is an Excel spreadsheet with pre-formatted column headers named for the data that can be imported for that Risk Data type. Use these files to prepare your data for import.
Important: Each risk data section has its own sample file with fields that are specific to that risk data type. Make sure to use the correct sample file when importing each risk data type.
Preparing an Import Template
Method #1 - Update Column Headings for Existing Sheet
If you already have a spreadsheet with data from another system, update the column headings to match the pre-formatted headings expected for Wunderite's Risk Data section.
Don't spend too much time on it -- Wunderite makes it easy to map any unmatched headings to the correct column after uploading your import template.
Method #2 - Copy/Paste Data from Existing Sheet
Copy and paste your data rows from another Excel spreadsheet or system of record for each available column.
Import the File
If you're starting from an empty Risk Data page, select the Import Spreadsheet
button in the center of the page.
For a risk data section that already has data, from the top menu, click on the Add
dropdown button and select Import [Risk Data Type] Spreadsheet
.
Select and open your spreadsheet from you local device folder.
File Data Processing
Wunderite will automatically process and validate the spreadsheet's data to check for proper column headers and data format. We'll summarize any errors:
Validation
Data validation errors will be highlighted in red and provide details about what needs to change to successfully import your data.
Map Unknown Columns
Any unknown column headers will appear on the left and highlighted in yellow. Click on the arrows icon to select the Wunderite column you wish map your data to.
Hide Empty Columns
Use this toggle to show/hide columns without data, making it easier to focus on the information you need to review or update.
Finalize the Import
Click Save Import
to complete the import process. A success message will appear in the top right of your screen indicating that the import was successful.
Make a Mistake? No problem.
Easily undo your import with one click to restore your data to its previous state.
