Change the Name of a Personal Risk Profile

Choose whether a Personal Risk Profile uses a person’s name or a custom or business name, and understand how the change affects AMS integrations.

Personal Risk Profiles can be identified by a person’s name or by a custom name, such as a business, trust, estate, or household. This setting controls the name used to identify the profile in Wunderite and through supported agency management system (AMS) integrations.

What changing the profile name does

  • Person: Uses the selected person’s name as the Personal Risk Profile name.

  • Custom or business name: Uses the name you enter instead of a person’s name.

Changing this setting does not convert the profile into a Commercial Risk Profile. The profile remains a Personal Risk Profile, including its forms and risk data.

Important: The selected profile name is also used by supported AMS integrations. Changing it may affect how the profile appears or matches in your AMS. Before saving, confirm that the name is consistent with the corresponding customer or prospect record in your AMS.

Change a Personal Risk Profile name

  1. Open Personal Profiles and select the Risk Profile you want to update.

  2. From the profile overview, select the ✏️ pencil to edit the profile name.

  3. In the edit window, use the naming toggle to choose Person or Custom or business name.

  4. If you choose Person, select the person whose name should identify the profile. If you choose Custom or business name, enter the name you want to use.

  5. Click Update Profile Name.

The updated name will appear anywhere the Personal Risk Profile is identified in Wunderite. If your agency uses an AMS integration, confirm the updated name in your AMS after the next applicable sync.
