Step 3: Configure Directory Sync with Your Identity Provider

Connect your identity provider to Wunderite Directory Sync through WorkOS and prepare for role mapping

Written by Philip MacDonald

The intended audience for this article is Technical Agent Admins with SSO.

To complete this setup step, you'll need administrative access to your identity provider (IdP).

The purpose of this step is to connect your identity provider to Wunderite Directory Sync. After the initial sync, your identity provider controls team membership and roles. For teams whose Segments are managed through Directory Sync, it also controls Segment creation, names, and membership. Single Sign-On handles authentication separately.

If your team uses AMS360-managed Segments, AMS360 continues to control which Segments exist. Directory Sync applies user and role changes only.

  1. Return to Wunderite and ensure you're logged in as an Administrator.

  2. In the side navigation, click Team.

  3. In the menu that appears, click Team Security.

  4. Under Single Sign-on (SSO), click Manage Directory Sync in WorkOS.

  5. Select your identity provider when prompted.

  6. Follow the instructions provided by WorkOS.

  7. Once the WorkOS setup is complete, notify your Wunderite contact so they can map your identity provider groups to the Wunderite Admin and Member roles. Do not continue to the initial sync until these role mappings are complete.
