Extract data from PDF and autofill to Wunderite form

Wunderite Extract

Written by Philip MacDonald

The intended audience for this article is Agents.

Wunderite Extract (Beta) lets you upload a completed PDF application or ACORD form, extract the answers, and autofill them into Wunderite. Source PDFs can be scanned, handwritten, or typed. As of October 2025, this feature is in open beta and must be enabled by a Wunderite Customer Success Manager. To request access, contact [email protected].

As an early beta, results will vary and accuracy is not guaranteed. Review all imported forms carefully and report issues or feedback to [email protected]. Fixes may not be immediate. Extract is free during beta, and access, limits, or pricing may change at any time. Your participation helps Wunderite improve form recognition and expand support for additional formats and states.

Prerequisites

  • Feature access: Your agency must have Wunderite Extract enabled. If you don’t see the option, contact your Customer Success Manager.

  • Form availability: The PDF must already exist as a Wunderite Form. If it doesn’t, send the form to [email protected] for digitization.

From the Agent Dashboard select Send or fill out a form > Upload PDF & extract data.

Select an existing risk profile or create a new one. Then upload your PDF. For now you can only upload 1 file at a time. We're looking at improvements to our Extract feature to possibly allow batch uploads in the future.

You'll see a loading screen as Wunderite attempts to find the form and extract the answers. This feature is still in beta, so you might encounter errors. If you do, let us know.

If Wunderite can not identify the form you are trying to upload, you will be asked to match the PDF (form) with the same form in our library. Note: this feature allows you to add a filled out form to Wunderite, so you do not need to transcribe information to the Wunderite form. If you try to match your form with a different form that is in our library it will likely not work.

If you do not encounter any issues and the form has gone through all the steps illustrated below and reaches the final "Success" step, you will see confetti.

Below is a video that shows everything explained in this article.
